4/4 School of Music has more than
20 of the best music teachers in the Northwest! We receive more than
200 applications each year from music teachers all over the
world.
A great player is not necessarily
a great teacher and a great teacher not always the best player. At
4/4, we know what it takes to be an excellent teacher so we are
constantly interviewing teachers to bring you only the best!
New 4/4 School of Music teachers...
1) Consent to a Washington State
Patrol criminal background check.
2) Submit a multi-page application & bio.
3) Go through a rigorous interview process.
4) Perform an audition.
5) Most sub for some of our permanent teachers.
6) Get positive feedback from the teacher(s) they subbed for.
7) Get positive feedback from the students they taught while
subbing.
8) Go to teacher's meetings & listen to monthly teacher podcasts to share ideas and become even better
teachers.
Most music students don't know
what to look for in a music teacher. They also lack the time, energy
and knowledge to interview and audition multiple teachers to find
just the right one.
This is where 4/4 really shines! With decades of teaching experience
ourselves, we know just what makes an excellent music teacher and
how to match students with teachers!

Music lessons can be a blast with a teacher that shares your
excitement and interests.

All music teachers need to
be well organized with a variety of teaching programs available to
meet your individual needs.
Dependable
At 4/4 we require all
teachers to be on time and respect your schedule. If your
teacher is sick or has to miss a lesson to play a concert, we can
usually provide a substitute to keep you moving forward!
Inspirational
Most of all, a great
teacher should inspire you to want to practice and keep improving!
