Where are you located?
We are conveniently located at the corner of Main Street and 148th Ave SE in Bellevue, Washington. We are in the same shopping center as
Walmart Neighborhood Market.
Do I need to own a guitar before I start taking lessons?
No. If you do not have a guitar and want to try out a lesson, we have practice guitars at our locations that you can use during your lesson. When you are ready to purchase a guitar, our teachers can recommend
the perfect guitar that will fit your needs and budget!
What are guitar lessons like?
Some of the things you will probably do in a typical lesson are:
- Learn some new chords or new fingering technique
- Jam with your teacher, practice a current and new song
- Learn some music theory
- Warm-up on scales
Our guitar teachers tailor each lesson to what the student wants to learn and needs to work on to accomplish their individual goals and learning style.
How long does it take to learn to play some fun songs on the guitar?
This will depend on your practice time. Many students are playing songs and chords within the first guitar lesson or two. When you can be focused and disciplined with practice time, you will see great
results! If practice time is difficult to come by, our teachers can work with you each week to get the most out of what little time you may have. Every little bit of practice time here and there adds up. In
most cases, you’ll be playing some of your favorite songs in a just a few lessons!
Which other instruments do you have teachers for?
We have excellent teachers available for Guitar, Piano, Voice/Singing, Drums, Bass, Mandolin, Ukulele, Flute, Banjo, & Violin. Their schedules vary and not all instruments are available at all locations. Just
call us at 425-485-8310 for the latest schedules of availability.
How old should my child be to start taking guitar lessons?
We recommend that students be around 7 years old or older to start guitar lessons. Ukulele is much easier for children that are 5 and 6 years old. After they play uke for a while switching over to guitar is a
breeze! For more info please see our Home Page.
